Terms and policies at the Little Italy of Niagara

A reservation is a contract. By giving us your credit card information above, clicking the Terms & Conditions box and submitting your request, whether online or by phone, you agree to all of our policies. In return, we will hold your room(s) for you, for the night(s) requested. ALL policies as outlined below and the applicable cancellation policy, go into force upon acceptance of your reservation and for the duration of your stay.

Guests will need to present Government Issued ID and credit card for house copy of reservation and must be 18 years of age or older.

By submitting your reservation, it is understood that the information is correct and you agree to the terms as laid out in this document regarding services, number of days booked and the cancellation policy in force for the days booked. If you have any questions about the cancellation policy in force for your dates of stay, please email littleitalyofnf@gmail.com for confirmation.

Rates

  • Our rates are based on up to two guests in the room. Additional guests in the same room will be assessed an additional charge.
  • Rates vary by day of the week. Weekend rates apply to Friday, Saturday and holidays. A major credit card is required to secure your stay with us. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
  • Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes and fees.

Cancellation Policy at The Little Italy of Niagara Falls

Cancellations or changes to direct reservations may be made by phone or email and must be made by the party who originally booked.

All reservations require a deposit equal to 100% of your stay and will be taken at the time of your booking.

For single night reservations, your deposit is non-refundable.

General Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by 4:00pm on the 15th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned, less 10% of your deposit or a $25 cancellation fee, whichever is greater. Your deposit equal to the full amount of your reservation will become non-refundable on this date.

This policy also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00pm, 15 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full.

This cancellation policy also applies to guests planning on using a gift certificate from any source. If issued by Little Italy, unless the original is returned to us, your card will be charged.

Holiday and 3-Day Weekends Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by 4:00pm on the 30th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned, less 10% of your deposit or a $25 cancellation fee, whichever is greater. Your deposit will become non-refundable on this date.

This also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00pm, 30 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full.

This cancellation policy also applies to guests planning on using a gift certificate from any source. If issued by Little Italy, unless the original is returned to us, your card will be charged.

Convention & Special Events Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by 4:00pm on the 60th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned. A deposit equal to one night's rent (including tax) or 50% of your reservation (whichever is greater) will become non-refundable on this date.

This also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00pm, 60 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full. Vacation insurance is available from several providers online to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.

This cancellation policy also applies to guests planning on using gift certificates from any source. If issued by The Little Italy of Niagara Falls, unless the original is returned to us, your card will be charged.

If you have any question about which policy applies to your reservation, please call to confirm which policy is in force.

We are a small inn and cancellations affect us severely. As long as we are open for business, and fully functioning, our policy is firm regardless of the reason for cancellation, interrupted stay, delayed arrival or early departure.

We cannot be responsible for unused rooms due to late or cancelled airline flights, family emergencies, threat of bad weather, any other travel-related mishaps or for any other change of plans on your part. We also cannot be responsible for any changes which shorten your stay — there is no refund for early departures.

Vacation insurance is available from several providers online, and through some credit cards, to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.

If for any reason we cannot honor your reservation, we agree to help you find alternate accommodations, and refund you in full for your stay. By submitting your reservation, it is understood that the information is correct and you agree to the terms as laid out in this document regarding services, number of days booked and the cancellation policy. To be compliant with local laws, you will be asked to sign in and present identification.

NOTE: In the event of extenuating circumstances, The Little Italy reserves the right to cancel any reservation, at any time, with full refund of any money paid by Guests.

Arrivals and Departures

  • Check-in is easy because we will have taken care of registration in advance.
  • Because we are in a historic district, and the Little Italy Bed and Breakfast was originally a single family home, we are not allowed to post a sign out front. There IS a sign on the door, so you will know you are at the right place.
  • The inn is closed for cleaning until 4:00pm. You may check-in anytime after 4:00pm unless priority check-in has been previously arranged.
  • To prepare your room for the next guests, check-out is by 12:00pm. We do offer late check-out. Close and lock the guest room door upon final exit.
  • Due to insurance constraints, we regret that we cannot accommodate early luggage drop-off for any reason. We do offer priority check-in, or you're welcome to tuck your luggage around the far side of our covered wrap-around porch.

Parking

  • There is on-street parking in front of the bed and breakfast.
  • Overnight street parking changes sides of the street each night so pay attention to avoid being ticketed.

Forgotten Items

We are happy to send back any forgotten items left behind at the inn at your request. The cost of shipping plus a $15 handling and packaging fee will be charged and we can add that to the credit card you have on file. In addition, we ask that you accept or deny insurance of the forgotten item in writing.

Security & Privacy Policies

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell your personal information. Your payment and personal information has been secured with our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which is the industry standard. Credit card and all personal information is encrypted and cannot be read on the internet.

The security features in place at The Little Italy of Niagara Falls Bed & Breakfast are meant to deter casual interlopers and are meant to ensure guests' safety and privacy.

Miscellaneous Policies

  • Alcohol: Responsible consumption of alcohol is allowed. For guests abusing this privilege, as determined by the staff of The Little Italy, guests will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
  • Animals: No animals are permitted on site. The Little Italy is not licensed to accommodate animals.
  • Combustibles: The burning of any type of combustible is not allowed in the guest room(s), the home or anywhere on the premises. This includes, but is not limited to, candles and incense.
  • Smoking: The Little Italy of Niagara Falls Bed & Breakfast is a smoke-free environment. There is zero tolerance for smoking, including vaping, in the house. If a guest smokes in the house, they will be asked to leave immediately without a refund, AND be responsible for a two (2) night room fee (for loss of room use while the room is being cleaned), PLUS a minimum $200 cleaning fee.
  • Quiet Time: Quiet time is between 10:00pm and 7:00am.
  • Cooking: Cooking is not allowed in the guest room(s).
  • Food & Beverage Consumption: Please clean up afterwards so that other guests may enjoy their stay as well.
  • Kitchen: For the health and safety of our guests, please clean up after use. Guests have access to the refrigerator and can label their food if necessary.
  • Signage: Guests are to observe all signage as posted. Do not enter areas signed "Private," "Private Entrance," "Do Not Enter," or "Private Quarters."
  • Footwear Indoors: Footwear is permitted indoors. For the health and safety of our guests, no dirty or wet footwear is to be worn in the house. Prior to entering the home, footwear is to be inspected and if required, use the footwear cleaning station found near the side entrance.

Accountability

  • It is the guest's responsibility to inform the staff of The Little Italy of any special health issues, dietary restrictions or any other concerns they have that The Little Italy would need to know of, to ensure the health and safety of the guests' stay.
  • The innkeeper reserves the right to terminate the balance of any guest's stay without refund for any behavior that is in violation of these Terms & Policies. It also applies to any behavior that disrupts the operation of The Little Italy of Niagara Falls Bed & Breakfast or its other guests.
  • Guests asked to leave will be charged for entire reservation.
  • Other fees may be assessed related to missing or damaged property, cleaning fees, loss of room use fees as appropriate and determined by the Innkeeper.
